Photographs can fade or become damaged by
being exposed to acidic products such as certain papers,
adhesives, and plastics. Have you ever come across an old
favorite photo that was faded or yellowed? That is what happens
to a photo that’s exposed to acidic materials over time.
Lignin is a substance found in many tree-based
products and can also damage photos.
By preserving your photos in acid-free,
lignin-free scrapbook albums, using the best photo-safe adhesives and
papers, they will last for many, many years without becoming
damaged.
